Zara González Hoang grew up in a little bungalow in the frozen tundra of Minneapolis. Since it was so cold outside, she spent a lot of time doodling and dreaming while listening to her parents tell colorful stories about Puerto Rico and New York. These stories were her inspiration for telling her own using pictures and words. Zara loves experimenting with different media – digital, pen and ink, paint – her current favorite is working with watercolor and colored pencil, with a bit of digital magic thrown in to tie it all together.read more
Zara lives outside of DC in a magical suburban forest with her Mad Man husband, human-shaped demons, curly coated corgi and jungle of plants.
