Yuko is an illustrator and storyteller with a passion for socially minded collaborations in publishing and community engagement. Through her work, she aims to spark joy and celebrate humanity’s emotions and curiosities. Additionally, speaking with people from different walks of life and finding the most meaningful way to visually interpret their stories excites her creatively.
read moreShe received a BFA with Honors in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been recognized by the Creative Quarterly, Society of Illustrators LA, and 3×3 International Magazine. Arts fellowships include the Maharam STEAM Fellowship with the Boston Children’s Hospital , the RISD Leadership and Community Engagement Fellowship with DownCity Design, and theEnterprise Community Partners Artist Fellowship with North Shore Community Development Coalition. She enjoys cooking, running, and doodling small characters.
