Victoria Tentler–Krylov

Victoria Tentler-Krylov grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She came to New York with her family when she was eighteen, and studied architecture and urban design at Cooper Union and Columbia University. Victoria now lives outside of Boston and is a practicing architect and editorial illustrator with art published in The Wall Street Journal and The Boston Globe.

Picture books illustrated by Victoria include The Cyclops of Central Park (G. P. Putnam), Just Read (Sterling), We Are a Garden (Schwartz & Wade), and Sanctuary (2022, Candlewick).

Victoria’s author/illustrator debut, Building Zaha: The Story of Architect Zaha Hadid, was published in 2020 by Orchard Books (Scholastic). Her next two author-illustrated picture books will be A Park to Look Up to: The Story of New York’s High Line (2022) and Venice (2024, both Abrams).
