Sandra Salsbury is an author-illustrator in Berkeley, CA. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and refuses to consider living anywhere else. She holds a BFA and MFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and received the SCBWI Don Freeman Grant in 2018. She works with graphite, watercolor, and digital media, as well as occasionally with words. She lives with her husband, a large collection of Staghorn ferns, and countless spiders who provide moral support, as the great spiders in literature are known to do.
