Ruan van Vliet

Ruan van Vliet’s artwork is recognizable for its bright blobs of color, smudgy, expressive lines, and absurdist worldview. His time is split between commercial work and self-initiated projects, including clothing, paintings and animation. He’s been commissioned by major brands, exhibited internationally, and appears in the liner notes of countless records from the Irish underground scene. His first picture book Bartholomew & The Morning Monsters (w/ Sophie Berger, Cicada Books 2020) was nominated for the Klaus Flugge Prize 2021.
