Molly Mendoza is a Portland-based illustrator currently living in Portland, Oregon. Molly is a BFA graduate from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and recipient the RockStar Games Award from the 2015 SOI Student Competition. Her debut graphic novel, Skip (Nobrow, 2019) was featured on NPR and called “an exceptional road taken” by Kirkus (starred review). She will illustrate the forthcoming picture books Freedom We Sing (Flying Eye) and Jovita Wore Pants (Scholastic). Molly is captivated by the relationships that she has built with friends, family, and foes alike and especially enjoys making images of people, space travel, plants, and small dogs.
