Matt Williams

Matt Camille Anderson Williams is a versatile Artist, Illustrator, Author and Professor based in Brooklyn. With a specialization in Editorial, Advertising, and Publishing Illustration, Matt’s work exudes dynamic and bold imagery that captivates viewers and tells them a story. Inspired by his experiences in the Fashion Industry and his passion for portrait and figure drawing, he brings purpose, expressiveness, sophistication, and humor to his work.
Matt earned his Master’s degree (MFA Illustration as Visual Essay) from The School of Visual Arts (2019) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute (2010). Alongside his artistic endeavors, he is a professor at both the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where he teaches in the Illustration Departments. Through his teaching and artistic contributions, Matt adds value to his work, drawing inspiration from his background and the vibrant New York community he calls home.
