Lian Cho is a Brooklyn based illustrator born in Taiwan and raised in New Zealand. Lian enjoys creating charismatic characters in colorful compositions and often mixes a variety of mediums in her work. Lian Cho is the illustrator of the picture books The Oboe Goes Boom Boom Boom (Greenwillow Books), It Began with Lemonade (Dial), and A Hundred Thousand Welcomes (Dial), and Newbery Award winning novel Lalani of the Distant Sea (Greenwillow Books). Up next for Lian are illustrations for forthcoming picture books Oh No, The Aunts are Here (Chronicle) and 100 Dragons All Named Broccoli (Dial). Her author/illustrator picture book debut, Oh, Olive! (Katherine Tegen Books), will be published next fall. Born in Taiwan and raised in New Zealand, Lian can now be found in her Brooklyn studio (or buying croissants at her local bakery).
