Jameela is a Philadelphia-based illustrator who never outgrew her love of surreal, adventurous and magical stories. She is interested in both picture books and book cover work. The genres of fantasy, historical fiction and nature illustration are especially exciting to her, as is work centered around social justice and the LGBTQ community. Her past clients include Disney Hyperion, Norton Young Readers, Tundra Books, Hachette Book Group, National Geographic Kids and others.
