Erika Meza

Erika Meza wrote her first book in Mexico, with crayons on a set of napkins when she was a bored seven-year-old. Since that first foray, she received a scholarship for Image Imprimée, or Illustration, in the ENSAD in Paris. Erika now works as an author and illustrator on such titles as Menudo Sunday, The Mystery of the Monarchs, and My Two Border Towns, for which she won the Tomás Rivera Book Award. Her author-illustrated picture book, To The Other Side, was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal for Illustration. Erika lives in London with her partner, a cat, and a tiny human creature.
