Eloise Narrigan is a writer and illustrator specializing in animal characters and their communities. She works with acrylic gouache and colored pencils to create the kinds of illustrations she pored over as a kid, filled with expressive characters, rich color, and silly, specific details. Eloise studied Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design and has since illustrated two board books with Mudpuppy. Her author-illustrator debut, NO ROOM FOR BIRDS (Greenwillow), is scheduled for summer 2027. Eloise has also worked in the toy industry for over a decade, where she occasionally gets to illustrate tiny books for dolls. She lives in Providence, RI with her Canadian husband and half a dozen hearty houseplants.
