Carrie Shryock was raised on a farm in the Midwest where she spent her days drawing, playing outside, and getting lost in books of all sorts. Her illustrations have appeared on everything from greeting cards to wallpaper, and now a growing list of children’s books. Her work features rich color palettes and energetic lines, creating images that feel nostalgic and timeless. Her creative mind is fueled by classic movies, vintage picture books, and long afternoon walks. She lives in Columbia, Missouri.
